The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Navitas Semiconductor is positioned favorably because its GaN and high-voltage SiC technologies address structurally expanding power-conversion needs in AI data centers, grid and energy infrastructure, performance computing, and industrial electrification, where higher efficiency and power density are increasingly valuable. The company’s 1Q26 revenue of $8.6M rose 18% sequentially and high-power markets grew about 35% Y/Y to a large majority of revenue, while non-GAAP gross margin held at 39% and non-GAAP EPS improved to $(0.04). Its selection for the U.S. Army’s ALATTIS 10kV SiC IGBT prototype program, along with 800V HVDC sampling and expected 2026 sequential growth, supports the view that Navitas is gaining technical validation and entering a more attractive mix shift.

Bear case

Navitas Semiconductor is viewed negatively because its revenue remains heavily concentrated in mobile charging and China, with ~86% of end-market revenue tied to China, leaving it vulnerable to a slowdown, customer loss, or geopolitical disruption. The company’s 1QF26 revenue of $8.6M was still down 39% Y/Y, and despite a 39% non-GAAP gross margin and $221.0M in cash with no debt, it posted an operating loss of ($11.7M), underscoring that scale and profitability remain weak. Its push into EVs, renewables, data centers, and other markets faces intense competition from larger semiconductor players, while cyclical industry weakness, delayed cost reductions, and supply-chain constraints could pressure margins and prolong revenue dependence on a narrow product base.
