The case for and against

Updated Oct 16, 2026

Bull case

ADI Global Distribution is attractive because it operates in a highly fragmented $65 billion North American market where its omnichannel platform, thousands of professional customers, and growing digital engagement create durable share-gain opportunities. Its revenue mix is improving through proprietary brands and digital sales, which carry meaningfully higher gross margins, while Snap One integration, store consolidations, and other operational actions are expected to drive about $80 million of cost savings and help expand EBITDA margins from roughly 5.6% toward the +8% goal by 2030. With management guiding 2026 revenue of $4,950-$5,000 million, 4% midpoint growth, and Adjusted EBITDA of $275-$295 million, the company appears positioned to combine solid organic growth with expanding profitability.

Bear case

ADI Global Distribution is facing a weak fundamental setup because its post-spin valuation remains unsettled, while early trading strength gave way to a substantial sell-off after the first earnings release. Operationally, 2025 results showed only modest commercial growth in Data Communications, Commercial Security, and Pro AV, but Residential AV remained soft, and adjusted standalone EBITDA margin was just 6.5% after being pressured by inflation, freight, and spin-related SG&A costs. The outlook is further constrained by high leverage, tariff and supply-chain exposure, and integration friction as a newly independent business still working through back-end and customer-facing alignment, with only 30% of revenue coming from online sales in 2025.
