The case for and against

Updated Oct 18, 2026

Bull case

Andersen Group is well positioned to benefit from secular demand tied to rising wealth among high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and fast-growing private businesses, with family offices expected to add an incremental $3T in wealth between now and 2030 and active unicorns up 10% over the last two years. Its core Private Client Services business, which accounts for about 51% of revenue, is already showing strong momentum, with 1Q revenue up 16% year over year, segment growth of at least 12% across all lines, and adjusted EBITDA of $72M versus consensus of $59M. The outlook is further strengthened by a disciplined affiliate-driven M&A strategy that targets a ~400-firm pipeline with $5B in revenue, supports expected inorganic contributions, and has helped drive revenue per hour up 8% year over year and revenue per professional up 13%.

Bear case

Andersen Group is viewed negatively because its 2026 guidance improvement is driven mainly by inorganic revenue, with expected inorganic contributions raised to $55M from $33M and the $27.5M increase in guidance largely tied to a $22M lift in those contributions. Revenue is projected at approximately $980M-$1B and EBITDA at $225M-$250M, but 2Q26 still calls for $190M-$205M of revenue and negative EPS, highlighting limited near-term earnings quality. The downside case is further reinforced by risks that AI adoption could pressure sentiment and pricing power, leadership upheaval could emerge with older management, and affiliate acquisitions or growth could underwhelm if trends revert toward industry averages or tax code simplification reduces demand.
