The case for and against

Updated Oct 21, 2026

Bull case

Boost Run is well positioned for durable growth because it combines scarce GPU access, expanding power capacity, and a differentiated secure-workload offering that resonates with healthcare, financial services, and government customers. Its fundamentals are improving as accessible power rose to ~253MW, backlog increased to $1.9B after over $1B of contracts in the quarter, and management reiterated a 2026 exit ARR target of ~$400M while targeting a 15%-20% free cash flow margin. The outlook is further supported by ~$137M of unrestricted cash, expected gross warrant proceeds of about ~$130M, and a financing model that uses leases and customer prepayments to scale without overburdening upfront capital needs.

Bear case

Boost Run is exposed to a fragile supply-and-demand balance: if it cannot secure GPUs, power, and data center capacity at the pace of competitors, growth can stall while market share erodes. The bear case is compounded by pricing compression, since a plateau in AI compute demand alongside continued supply additions could push GPU rental prices lower and squeeze already pressured margins, especially given rising compute and financing costs. Execution risk is also high because delayed deployments, weak customer absorption, and concentrated regulated-buyer sales cycles could strand capital expenditures, while the stock already trades at ~11x 2027 consensus EBITDA of ~$277M and ~9x the 2027 estimate of ~$329M.
