The case for and against

Updated Jul 21, 2026

Bull case

Stride is demonstrating a strong track record of revenue growth, with a 7.5% increase in Q2, as well as increased enrollment and profitability. The successful resolution of platform issues and strong demand trends position the company well for a return to its expected growth pattern in FY27, and the recent stock repurchase program shows confidence in its future. The company also has a solid balance sheet, with cash and marketable securities totaling $625.7 million and a manageable long-term debt.

Bear case

Stride is currently trading at a high valuation of 1.2x FY/26 revenue and 4.9x revised adjusted EBITDA. Despite strong demand trends and better-than-expected second quarter results, the stock has already seen a significant increase (25%) in the premarket and may not have much room for further growth. As a result, the negative outlook is based on the high valuation and limited potential for further upside in the near term.
