The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Mama's Creations is positioned for durable growth because its distribution footprint is expanding quickly across Walmart, Costco, Kroger, and other major chains, creating more doors and more SKUs per door while boosting velocity and cross-selling. Revenue rose 55% to $54.6 million in F2Q, adjusted EBITDA increased 69% to $5.5 million, and gross margin reached 24.0% despite higher trade spend, showing improving operating leverage alongside scale. With more than $130 million of net cash, continued Bay Shore and ERP integration progress, and a path toward mid- to high-20% gross margins and mid-teens EBITDA margins, the company appears well positioned for further sales and earnings upside.

Bear case

Mama's Creations is vulnerable to volatile chicken and feed costs, which can quickly compress gross margin and make earnings less predictable. Its deli-focused portfolio also carries demand risk, since any consumer shift away from that section of the store could materially hurt both revenue and profit. The stock already fell about 25% from its February 24 Investor Day by early May lows, yet it still trades above 25x NTM EBITDA and more than 2x LTM peers, leaving limited room for disappointment if management misses its growth, scale, or investment execution plan.
