The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Netskope is viewed favorably because it sits in a large, still-expanding SASE market where cloud migration, Zero Trust adoption, and AI-driven traffic are pushing enterprises toward integrated, single-vendor security and networking platforms. Its differentiated cloud-native architecture, deep inspection of cloud/API/AI traffic, strong data-security tools, and high-performance NewEdge network support durable share gains, while customer metrics like 27% ARR growth, $899M ARR, 114% to 115% NRR, and 36% RPO growth show healthy demand and strong expansion motion. The outlook is further supported by margin leverage as scale improves, an improving salesforce ramp through 2H FY27, and emerging AI security opportunities that can extend growth beyond the core SSE/SASE franchise.

Bear case

Netskope is facing a cautious fundamental setup because the SASE market may be more mature than expected, particularly in SSE, while large cybersecurity platform providers and newer entrants intensify competitive pressure. The company also carries execution risk around its growth outlook, with sales productivity, customer expansion, and the 2H ARR ramp needing to hold up despite unpredictable sales cycles and a transition to annual billings that is pressuring FCF through the middle of FY28. Although shares trade at 7.3x EV/forward revenue after falling 11% from the $19 IPO price and 3% YTD, sentiment is weighed down by recent volatility in NNARR growth, CFO transition risk, and ~38% VC ownership concentration.
