The case for and against

Updated Oct 21, 2026

Bull case

BeOne Medicines is supported by a durable Brukinsa franchise that drove 2Q26 revenue to $1.7 billion, up 29% year over year, with global Brukinsa sales of about $1.25 billion and management guiding full-year revenue to $6.6-$6.8 billion. The company also benefits from a strong balance sheet with $5.28 billion in cash and equivalents, while margin discipline showed through lower-than-expected SG&A and better-than-expected diluted EPS of $2.05, reinforcing near-term earnings quality. Beyond the core hematology business, more than 50 drugs in clinical trials and late-stage solid tumor programs such as sonrotoclax, TEVIMBRA, and the advancing Phase 3 pipeline create multiple catalysts that can broaden revenue growth and reduce dependence on a single asset.

Bear case

BeOne Medicines is a high-risk oncology company whose investment case is heavily dependent on Brukinsa, which accounted for 74% of total revenue as of 2025, leaving the business exposed to concentration risk and any slowdown in that franchise. Its remaining commercial assets, Beqalzi and Tevimbra, are largely China-dependent, while competition from AbbVie and AstraZeneca and the need for differentiated clinical data increase the odds of weaker-than-expected adoption. With more than 50 drugs still in clinical trials, the company faces substantial clinical, regulatory, and capital-intensive development risk, and the cited ADC precedent shows how quickly promising programs can fail to translate into value.
