The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Pursuit Attractions is well positioned because it owns scarce, iconic destination assets in Banff, Glacier, Alaska, Iceland, and Costa Rica where limited supply, regulatory barriers, and strong visitation create durable pricing power. Its “Refresh, Build, Buy” strategy has compounded value through disciplined acquisitions and reinvestment, helping drive a 15% revenue CAGR over the past decade, revenue per guest up 13% from 2019 to 2025, and effective ticket prices of about $50 per visitor. With 2025 EBITDA of $117M, a target above $265M by 2030, and pro forma net leverage near 1x after the FlyOver sale, the company has both earnings upside and financial flexibility to fund growth.

Bear case

Pursuit Attractions is vulnerable to cyclical demand because recreation spending and discretionary travel can fall quickly in a recession, which could reduce visitation and guest spending across its highly seasonal model, where about three-quarters of annual revenue is generated in Q2 and Q3. Its earnings are also exposed to concentration in remote destinations, wildfire and weather disruption, labor shortages, FX volatility, and regulatory or permitting changes tied to national parks and concessions, any of which could pressure EBITDA, cash flow, and service quality. Although the company owns scarce, hard-to-replicate assets, that strength is offset by high operating and capital intensity, acquisition execution risk, and sensitivity to inflation, higher oil prices, and rising interest rates.
