The case for and against

Updated Oct 15, 2026

Bull case

Securitize Holdings is attractive because it sits at the center of a massive underpenetrated market, with roughly $5.0bn of tokenized AUM across 23 public blockchains while only $39bn, or 0.01%, of the $319tn traditional financial asset pool is onchain today. Its moat is reinforced by seven years of infrastructure-building and five regulator approvals, giving it a rare end-to-end model that spans issuing, registering, custodying, distributing, and trading assets, while the launch of Securitize Stocks and the SEC’s Innovation Exemption should accelerate tokenized equity adoption. Financially, the platform’s AUM rose from $82m at the end of 2023 to $4.59bn as of September 17, 2026, and revenue mix is shifting toward recurring servicing, with Asset Servicing reaching 46% of 2Q26 revenue versus 42% in 2Q25.

Bear case

Securitize Holdings is facing a fragile thesis because its revenue is still heavily tied to volatile protocol integrations, with Q2 2026 tokenization revenue falling 12% year over year to $7.8m and only $9.60m of remaining performance obligations at June 30, 2026. Its market share has also deteriorated, slipping from 27.1% in July 2025 to 12.0% on September 17, 2026, while the broader tokenized RWA market ex-stablecoins grew 136% year over year and the company’s AUM expanded only 45%. The outlook is further weakened by regulatory dependence, client concentration, and crypto-beta exposure, as a 34% AUM decline to $2.87bn by January 2026 showed how quickly results can reset when digital asset markets contract.
