The case for and against

Updated Oct 17, 2026

Bull case

SharkNinja is well positioned by a scaled, diversified growth model that is still early in several high-upside channels, with 2Q 2026 net sales beating expectations by about 7.5% and adjusted EBITDA by 9-11%, underscoring durable demand across core and new products. Management’s raised 2026 guidance for net sales of +16-17% y/y, adjusted EBITDA of $1,357M-$1,369M, and EPS of $6.45-$6.55 reflects momentum from domestic and international expansion, DTC and TikTok Shop rollout, and retail gains at partners like Walmart. The company also has a strong innovation engine, with Jailbreak LIVE, a pipeline of new categories for 2027, and tariff refunds supporting investment in product development, media, and margin expansion.

Bear case

SharkNinja is facing a negative fundamental setup because its earnings remain highly exposed to tariffs, commodity inflation, and freight costs, with 2026 gross margin expected to contract by -100 to -150 bps and Q2 margins still pressured despite cost controls. Although FY guidance includes $125M of tariff refund benefits, only $30M flows to adjusted EBITDA and the rest is largely offset by reinvestment, limiting the durability of profit improvement and creating OpEx deleverage in Q3. At the same time, domestic growth has slowed in a business that derives more than 2/3rds of revenue from the U.S., while competition, consumer spending sensitivity, and supply-chain reliance on overseas manufacturing raise the risk that innovation and international expansion fail to offset maturity in core markets.
