The case for and against

Updated Oct 17, 2026

Bull case

Streamex is attractive because it sits at the intersection of real-world asset tokenization and regulated digital finance, with GLDY already proving the model through 1:1 NAV tracking and four yield distributions totaling 27.3 oz, including 19.4 oz in Q2'26. Its launch of GLDC should broaden access beyond accredited buyers, create a new fee-based revenue stream, and be accretive because each GLDC unit requires GLDY minted behind it, while partnerships with Orca, Siebert Financial, tZERO, EisnerAmper, Inspira Financial, and Wintermute strengthen distribution, custody, attestation, and liquidity. The stock also has operating leverage potential as the platform scales, with current GLDY TVL at $14.1m, more than $100m in early institutional indications of interest, and management targeting Q3'26 and Q4'26 product expansion across a broader tokenization pipeline.

Bear case

Streamex is facing a weak fundamental setup because its flagship GLDY product saw limited incremental adoption in Q2'26, missed EPS and Adj. EBITDA expectations, and suffered from a KYC integration failure that slowed AUM ramp despite 3,096 tokens outstanding and about $14.1m TVL. The business remains heavily exposed to a still unproven market for tokenized gold and yield-bearing RWAs, while management is trimming launches to only gold, pushing silver to 2027, and moderating spend to keep cash burn at $1.1m/month in Q3'26. With FY'26 revenue cut to $1.4m and Adj. EBITDA to $(20.8)m in one scenario, alongside competitive, regulatory, and liquidity risks, the outlook remains negative.
