The case for and against

Updated Oct 16, 2026

Bull case

Stereotaxis is attractive because its core disposable and robotic ecosystem is beginning to translate regulatory wins into recurring revenue growth, with 2Q26 recurring revenue of $6.2 million up 7.5% year over year and catheter sales topping $1 million. The company now has multiple commercial catalysts, including GenesisX, MAGiC ablation, and Synchrony approvals, while management expects cash-flow profitability in 1H27 and sees relatively modest assumptions needed to reach break-even. Although 2Q26 system placements were pressured and manufacturing constraints remain a hurdle, the early traction in new products, expected sequential improvement in 3Q and 4Q, and a 2027 revenue estimate near $47 million support a constructive long-term outlook.

Bear case

Stereotaxis is facing a weak fundamental setup because its revenue base remains uneven, with system sales highly volatile and recurring revenue not yet strong enough to offset periodic shortfalls. Q1 revenue of $6.3M and Q2 revenue of $7.7M both missed expectations, while system revenue fell 32.8% and 51% year over year in those periods, highlighting dependence on lumpy capital equipment purchases and slow adoption cycles. The bearish view is reinforced by ongoing cash flow and financing risk, elevated operating expenses near $9M per quarter, and lowered 2027 sales estimates to $47.0M from $53.0M amid supply constraints, competitive pressure, and execution uncertainty.
