The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Whitefiber is well positioned because it is commercializing Continuum, a distributed GPU supercluster that links two QTS facilities 83km apart with 136 Tbps of bandwidth and 0.9ms latency, expanding its AI infrastructure beyond single-site leasing. Its core business is also scaling: trailing-12-month revenue through 2Q26 was $94.5M, gross profit was $57.9M at 61.2% margins, and adjusted EBITDA was $16.6M, while expected contracted agreements point to more than $300M of high-margin annual revenue upon full deployment. The company’s retrofit-first model and 105 MW North Carolina pipeline, including NC-1, NC-2, and NC-3, should convert scarce powered capacity into contracted revenue and drive margin expansion.

Bear case

Whitefiber is exposed to significant execution risk because its HPC and colocation buildout has already experienced delays, and any further slippage could damage credibility, impair new deal wins, and pressure 2026 and 2027 revenue and EBITDA assumptions. Its fundamentals are also vulnerable to customer concentration, with Nscale representing roughly 82% of the $105.6M contracted average annual colocation revenue base and 29.7% of the total 2027 revenue estimate, while future cash needs may require equity financing and create dilution. Although the company has over $300M of contracted revenue and a sizable pipeline of about 1.1 GW, regulatory hurdles, interconnection constraints, and competition from stronger peers could limit scaling and keep valuation under pressure.
