The case for and against

Updated Oct 18, 2026

Bull case

YETI Holdings is attractive because its growth story is shifting from a mature U.S. drinkware base toward more durable drivers in international markets, bags, soft coolers, and broader retail penetration, with Europe and APAC expected to contribute meaningful revenue by 2030. The company’s upgraded revenue framework lowered the bar to mid-high single-digit growth while still supporting high-single-digit EBIT growth and low-double-digit EPS growth, and Project Upcycle adds $100mn of productivity savings split evenly between COGS and opex through 2030 to support margin expansion. Strong execution in 2Q, reiterated FY26 guidance of $1,999mn to $2,018mn in sales and 14.9% operating margin, plus $1.2bn to $1.4bn of cumulative free cash flow over the FY2025 to FY2030 period, reinforce a de-risked and cash-generative earnings profile.

Bear case

YETI Holdings is facing a cautious outlook because its growth appears increasingly dependent on recruiting new consumers and launching new products, while the repeat purchase behavior of its existing base remains uncertain. Margin pressure is also building as stainless steel, magnets, and oil-derived resins worsen COGS, and fuel, distribution, fulfillment, and transportation inflation lift operating expenses despite +110 bps from pricing discipline, product cost management, FX, and other factors. Although sell-through has been robust and channel inventory exited the quarter down year over year, elevated consumer uncertainty, competition, macroeconomic risk, and concentrated manufacturing keep earnings visibility and valuation support limited.
