This contract resolves to "Yes" if the specified company officially announces its intention to pursue an initial public offering ("IPO") during the contract period, as confirmed by a formal public statement or regulatory filing issued by the company or its authorized representatives. If Starlink is spun off into a separate legal entity, an IPO announcement by Starlink resolves the Starlink IPO contract to "Yes", while an IPO announcement by SpaceX resolves the SpaceX IPO contract to "Yes", with each resolving independently based on the named company. If Starlink is not spun off and remains part of SpaceX, only an IPO announcement for SpaceX as a whole qualifies, resolving the SpaceX IPO contract to "Yes" and the Starlink IPO contract to "No", unless a separate Starlink IPO is explicitly announced.

Rules and timeline

Each outcome is its own contract. A Yes contract pays $1 if its outcome happens and $0 if not; a No contract pays the reverse. Because the contracts trade separately, their chances don't have to add up to 100%.
