This contract resolves based on whether the specified candidate publicly declares their candidacy for President of the United States on or before the stated deadline. A declaration includes an official campaign announcement, a filing with the relevant election authority, or another formal public confirmation by the candidate or their campaign.
Rules and timeline
Each outcome is its own contract. A Yes contract pays $1 if its outcome happens and $0 if not; a No contract pays the reverse. Because the contracts trade separately, their chances don't have to add up to 100%.
