The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

CoreWeave is positioned to benefit from a structural supply-demand imbalance, with management citing 10x demand for every MW of capacity and continued confidence in reaching its 8 GW target by the end of the decade. Its moat is reinforced by being first to production on NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72, which supports premium pricing, while the 25% rate-card increase in July and an additional 10% increase should further expand margins into 2027 and 2028. The company is also broadening its addressable market through Forge, Vera CPU, and a full-stack AI platform that lowers enterprise adoption barriers, deepens customer relationships, and creates higher-margin software and services revenue.

Bear case

  • CoreWeave is viewed negatively because its business still looks exposed to commoditized AI infrastructure economics, with customer feedback on new software offerings mixed and monetization not yet quantified.
  • Its fundamentals are burdened by heavy leverage and capital intensity, including 81% net debt to market cap, EBITDA of only 2.2x interest expense at 6/22/26, and roughly $107 million of interest expense sensitivity for every 100-basis point move, which limits financial flexibility.
  • The company also faces extreme customer concentration, with Microsoft representing about 67% of 2025 revenue, plus concentrated supplier and power dependencies that could disrupt growth, raise costs, or compress returns.
