The case for and against

Updated Oct 18, 2026

Bull case

Euronet Worldwide is viewed positively because its diversified payments platform is showing resilient operating momentum, with 1Q revenue of $1,011.8 million, adjusted EPS of $1.58, and reaffirmed 10%–15% adjusted EPS growth guidance for FY26 despite persistent money transfer headwinds. Growth is increasingly supported by higher-margin “Digital Accelerators,” which were 21% of 2025 revenue and are expected to grow 20%–25% annually, alongside EFT strength from CoreCard and merchant acquiring expansion. A solid balance sheet, ongoing share repurchases, and a valuation near 5.5x–6.0x forecast EBITDA suggest meaningful upside as organic growth and accretive acquisitions compound.

Bear case

Euronet Worldwide is facing a weaker fundamental setup because adjusted EBITDA is expected to fall 4% Y/Y to $197M, below the $210M consensus, while 2026 and 2027 revenue and EPS forecasts are being trimmed. Although EFT Processing should benefit from a full quarter of CoreCard and roughly $17M of acquired revenue, Money Transfer remains the key drag with reported revenue expected to decline 1% Y/Y amid macro pressure and U.S. immigration controls. Heavy foreign-exchange exposure, with just over 75% of 2025 revenue outside the U.S., plus pricing pressure, acquisition risk, and a 26% share decline in 2025, reinforce the bearish view.
