The case for and against

Updated Oct 14, 2026

Bull case

Littelfuse is positioned for durable outperformance because it combines financial strength with secular growth exposure, generating $366M of FCF in 2025 at just 1.0x net leverage while retaining capacity for organic investment and bolt-on M&A. Its addressable market is expected to expand from $22B today to $30B by 2030, and the company’s guided ~14% revenue CAGR through 2030 reflects share gains, richer content, and roughly 7% annual M&A contribution, while the five-year plan targets nearly $4.5B of revenue and $1.1B of adjusted EBITDA by 2030. The bullish case is reinforced by accelerating data center design wins, 800V DC architecture-driven content growth of 2-4x, and margin expansion from portfolio rationalization, Basler integration, and a shift toward higher-value direct solutions across electronics, transportation, and industrial.

Bear case

Littelfuse is facing a bearish setup because its cyclical recovery may lose momentum in 2H26 if macro conditions worsen or channel restocking gets ahead of true end demand, leaving earnings growth to decelerate from the bear case FY27E EPS of about $13.00. Slower-than-expected data center wins, a pushed-out 800VDC transition, and tougher competition could limit share gains, while power semis margin recovery may prove harder than expected. The company’s heavy reliance on distribution reduces visibility into end demand, and component shortages, excess channel inventory, and integration risk from serial acquisitions could all pressure sales, margins, and earnings.
