The firm's platform technology employs a vector-based approach and consists of various components, such as vector, antigen, and adjuvant. A vector is a virus used as a carrier to deliver DNA coding for vaccine antigens and an adjuvant selected to activate the immune system. An antigen is a viral or bacterial protein that stimulates an immune response to the targeted pathogen.
